Mrs. DeFrancisco

Hello My Name Is...

Mrs. DeFrancisco

This is my tenth year as a full-time Speech Pathologist with Young Scholar's. I work with students, K-8, who need help in the areas of speech and language. This is my 33nd year in a field I really enjoy. I believe that early intervention prevents bigger challenges in students' futures. I strive to meet individual needs in a fun way. My students keep me young and teach me to look at life through their eyes. This has. and continues to be, my very favorite place to work.

I was born and raised in Williamsport/Montoursville, Pennsylvania. After graduation I attended Clarion State University of Pennsylvania and Gallaudet College in Washington D.C. for my undergraduate degree. I worked as an SLP in West Germany 4 1/2 years with the Department of Defense then decided to move to a warmer climate, Arizona. I received my M.S. from Northern Arizona University.

Outside of the school setting I enjoy sewing, gardening, reading, travel and have been a Middle Eastern Dancer for over 25 years. I have been married to a wonderful man for 3 years.
