Hello My Name Is...

Ms Gaudry

Hello, I am a sixth grade teacher at Young Scholar's Academy.  I began my teaching career as a Algebra I and math teacher at Bullhead Junior high in 2000.  In 2001, I was hired to teach sixth grade here at YSA.

I grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota, enjoying ice-skating, sledding, and skiing.  When I decided to move all the way to AZ a lot of my friends and family were surprised.  I love the cold weather and all it has to offer.  However, I am a sucker for an adventure too. So I moved with my then 3 year old son, Parker, to Bullhead City.  What a culture shock it was!  However, I have enjoyed my 13 years living here in the Mohave Desert immensely.

I love teaching and could not imagine doing anything else!  I love the classroom environment.  Watching sixth graders get excited to read novels is always extremely gratifying.  Sharing with them as they learn about ancient cultures is pure joy.  It is amazing what they say and the insight that they add to our daily studies.  Parents often are amazed when I say I teach sixth grade. They state that they could never imagine dealing with this age group and their negative habits or behaviors.  To them I say, I have it easy! Being a parent is the hardest job there is by far!
